Season of SUAFRI-EPC Events

27.08.2015

The end of August 2015 marks an important milestone in the EU funded SUAFRI-EPC project, which signals the midpoint in this three year project dedicated to supporting research-to-innovation in the agrifood sector in eastern partnership countries (EPC).

Over the past 18 months, the project’s consortium partners have identified and promoted the best agrifood research and innovation organisations in the EPC, the top eight organisations have been audited and currently six technology holders are being coached by a dedicated team of experts. In addition, three supported pilot research-to-innovation projects in Armenia, Belarus and Georgia have already achieved good results.

Consequently, SUAFRI-EPC will now launch its season of events dedicated to promoting the project's activities and disseminating its achievements whilst continuing its innovation training activities for EPC organisations. Intelligentsia is highly involved in the organisation of two important events for the project: a summer school on technology-transfer in Bologna, Italy, and a technology-transfer brokerage event in Yerevan, Armenia.

SUAFRI-EPC Second Summer School, 5-9 October 2015, Bologna (Italy)
Based on the success of the first edition in Denmark, SUAFRI-EPC will organise its second summer school in Bologna with a programme tailored to the needs and interests of EPC participants. The 1 week event will consist in:
• 3 days of skills development training in research commercialisation methods,
• 1 day visit to leading Italian research and innovation organisations,
• 1 day visit to EXPO Milano 2015.

The summer school is open to anyone interested in technology-transfer involving agrifood and EPC. Don’t delay to register for one of the last remaining spaces available.

SUAFRI-EPC Brokerage Event, 23 October 2015, Yerevan (Armenia)
The SUAFRI-EPC consortium is organising its first brokerage event in Armenia on 23 October 2015. The event will be organised in parallel with the Armenian National Agrarian University's conference and aims to provide an opportunity for enhancing the cooperation between Armenian research organisations and businesses, and for establishing direct contacts and partnerships between Armenian and European representatives.

Registration to the first SUAFRI-EPC brokerage event is now open.
