29.01.2016

Intelligentsia is delighted to announce the start of the new H2020 research project HOLO focused on digital holographic microscopy. The company supported preparation of the successful proposal.

The three-year project is coordinated by the Institute of Applied Physics of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova. Together with their colleagues from University of Stuttgart (Germany) and Tampere University of Technology (Finland), Moldavian scientists will be working on the following two topics:

  • Design and optimization of diffractive optical elements to improve digital holographic microscopy
  • Development of advanced image processing algorithms for digital holographic microscopy using diffractive optical elements

Moreover, during the course of the project, the partners will organise international conferences, training workshops, summer schools and various outreach activities. Intelligentsia will conduct a series of trainings on technology transfer, innovation management and other topics related to H2020 and EU R&D projects, such as proposal writing and project management.

The kick-off meeting was held on 27 January 2016 in Chisinau, Moldova. Presentations of the project and its consortium partners were followed by a press conference with a local TV channel MOLDOVA1 and a radio station MOLDOVA, whose journalists attended the beginning of the meeting.
