FP7 SUAFRI-EPC Project: First Summer School in Aarhus, Denmark

13.10.2014

Being the project coordinator, Intelligentsia actively participated to the organisation of the first SUAFRI-EPC Summer School in Aarhus (Denmark) at the beginning of October 2014. This major event of the SUAFRI-EPC project will repeat each year and aims to gather young EPC researchers and technology support experts during an entire week. The objective of such training course is to raise the awareness of EPC participants on knowledge and technology transfer topics and then stimulate national initiatives and collaborations between scientists and industrial actors.

We attracted participants from consortium partner organisations but also from other EPC organisations interested by tech transfer activities. The group worked on topics identified as highly relevant for EPC countries: i) commercialisation of research results; ii) negotiation techniques and the art of reaching agreement; ii) practical bridge-building between science and business; iv) growing new technology-based firms; and v) establishing successful relationships between universities and the industry.

Intelligentsia and Technology Innovation International, the consortium partner responsible for the preparation of the training course, will continue to work hard on the organisation of the next Summer School and the selection of the best EPC candidates.
