Project Management

We have extensive experience of managing various types of complex R&D projects: national as well as international projects, small through to large consortia, fundamental science as well as applied research. Recent examples include:

Intelligentsia were the coordinator of the FP7 SEMIDEC project. The project was focused on nurturing semiconductor design cooperation between Europe and Russia. The project consortium included Fraunhofer-IIS, Moscow Institute of Electronic Technology, St Petersburg State Polytechnical University and the Russian Technology Transfer Network. As well as managing the proposal preparation, contract negotiations, periodic reporting and day-to-day running of the project, Intelligentsia also co-wrote a popular survey report about the Russian microelectronics sector (downloaded 1000+ times). The project was a considerable success and during the final review by independent experts at the European Commission, the project was evaluated excellent.

Intelligentsia are coordinator of the FP7 NANOMAT-EPC project. The project aims to support the deployment of societally beneficial nano- and materials technologies in European Partnership Countries (EPC). Besides leading the proposal preparation, Intelligentsia have managed the contract negotiations with the Commission plus the consortium agreement, periodic reporting and day-to-day running of the project with project partners. The project is being implemented by a well-balanced consortium of nine partners – four EPC partners and five EU partners. To help faciliate knowledge and technology transfer in nano- and materials technologies, the EPC and EU partners are implementing a series of bilateral pilot projects:

  • Deployment of high conductivity zirconia anodes in solid oxide fuel cells
  • Deployment of hybrid CNT/graphene electrodes for supercapacitors
  • Deployment of nanosensory devices for environmental monitoring using picosecond laser technology
  • Deployment of magnetic nanoparticles for medical applications
